Who we are
Rideau Home Care is a locally owned private-pay home care agency serving Ottawa and Nepean. We are not a franchise and we are not a referral service that hands you a list of names. The caregivers who come to your door work for us, and our office is accountable for the visit.
How we work
Private pay means you are not waiting on an assessment, a referral, or a funding decision to find out whether anyone is coming. You pick the kind of care, pay the booking deposit, and tell us about the person. We provide care in Ottawa and Nepean.
We keep the same caregiver on a client wherever scheduling allows. Continuity matters more in home care than in almost any other service: someone who already knows where the towels are, and how your mother likes her tea, is doing a different job from a stranger reading a care plan.
Every visit is booked onto one office schedule rather than a group chat, so the office knows who is where and what was done.
What we provide
Personal support, respite for family caregivers, overnight care, homemaking, companionship, and nursing. Services lists what each one covers.
Care runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including overnight and weekends. The office answers the phone on weekdays.
What you are owed
Ontario sets out what every person receiving home care is entitled to, and we post it rather than burying it: the Patient Bill of Rights, our privacy statement under PHIPA, and the deposit and cancellation terms in plain words.
